We are already taking action to reduce the carbon footprint of our products. First, we measure carbon emissions from raw materials to all stages of product life depletion. Secondly, we reduce our impact on the environment by developing natural and recyclable materials. Finally, we offset the residual impact through carbon compensation to ensure carbon neutrality. As long as each of us takes responsibility for the environment, we will eventually move towards a zero carbon future.
How to measure our carbon footprint?
A pair of ordinary shoes has a carbon footprint of 12.5 kg CO2e. The average carbon footprint of all our products is 7.6 kg CO2e. Well, what does that mean? Maybe you think so. Indeed, without context, these numbers do not tell the whole story. So if you want to know how our average carbon footprint of 7.6kg CO2e relates to your daily life, its emissions are equivalent to driving 19 miles, drying 5 cans of clothes in a dryer and making 22 chocolate bars.
Our belief is to make the environment better through ourselves, just like the photosynthesis of trees. This is why we believe in the power of natural materials and their potential to change ecosystems. Our vision is more ambitious than the goal of "carbon neutrality", that is, in the end, our enterprises will make the environment better through their own behavior.
We are trying to reduce carbon emissions to zero. We believe that all enterprises, including us, should actually be responsible for their own environmental impact. Therefore, before reaching the zero carbon emission target, we will tax our carbon emissions and invest them in carbon compensation projects to neutralize our carbon footprint.
